At First Step CRC, we believe recovery begins with a strong foundation. Our mission is to provide medical stabilization as the critical first step before transitioning clients to a residential treatment provider for Phase Two psychosocial services.
First Step Community Recovery Center is the medical model for stabilizing clients before a warm handoff to a psychosocial residential treatment provider for substance use disorders (SUDs).
This approach ensures that every client receives comprehensive medical care—including assessment, chronic conditions management, and medication reconciliation—before engaging in counseling and behavioral therapies.
Both Phase One (Medical Stabilization) and Phase Two (Psychosocial Treatment) are fully aligned with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria, which guide best practices for addiction treatment nationwide.
